Free weighted grade book for Google Sheets

Surprisingly, I could not find a template like this anywhere online.

Google Classroom’s own grading function does not support weighing, and the templates I found were not well-suited for regular classroom use.

Here’s the gist of this one:

1. Put the student’s names in
2. Put the weights per grade category in
3. Enter task point totals and category
4. Use it

I added a few other “bells and whistles,“ such as automatic mixed-level group formation and a space to show a student his or her grade without exposing everyone’s grades — and also making it easy to print.

Further, when I get around to learning a bit of Google Apps Script, I’ll add an “Email Parent” button for failing students. I have never “coded,” so it’s taking a bit of time!
